The Institute of Certified Management Accountants, the certification division of the Institute for Management Accountants, launched the new simplified Chinese language version of its two-part Certified Management Accountant exam.

"For nearly 40 years, the CMA certification program has been the globally-recognized credential for accountants and financial professionals in business, through an exam assessment, continuing education, and compliance with the highest ethical standards," said Dennis Whitney, ICMA senior vice president, in a statement. "Following the success of the revised two-part CMA exam curriculum in English, we are pleased to offer the exam in Simplified Chinese."

The Chinese version, available beginning Dec. 1, 2012, will be identical to the English version in covering management accounting, corporate finance, planning and analysis, risk management and decision support.

Registration for each of the two part exams will begin March 1, 2012. Candidates can pre-enroll on the IMA China Web site and will receive instructions on earning the CMA through either the four- or two-part program.
