MOF Seeks Public Feedback on Draft Legislative Amendments to CPA Law

According to the proposed amendments, accounting firms should be established using either general or limited partnerships, with general partnerships available to firms with at least 5 CPAs and limited partnerships available only to firms with at least 25 partners and 100 CPAs. In addition, the draft amendment says sino-foreign cooperative accounting firms set up before the amendment can keep their cooperative organization form, or they can make changes in accordance with the draft amendment.


Latest Data on CPA Exam Registration

More than 552,000 students were registered for the Professional-level of 2011 National CPA Exams, while there were just 6,723 students registered for the Comprehensive-level exam. Students from Zhejiang, Beijing, Guangdong, Shandong and Shanghai made nearly half of all the registered students, according to relevant statistics.


CSRC Seeks Comments on IPO Rule Revision

The revised Initial Public Offering (IPO) rule focuses on strengthening disclosure of information, improving constraint on IPO pricing, introducing individual investors to participate in IPO pricing, reinforcing oversight of IPO pricing, launching offering of old shares and restraining speculative trade of new IPO shares.
